The Hometown Tourist is a collection of stories, articles, and comics by Chase Henderson. Living in the same place all your life and still feeling like an outsider is less of a theme; but more of a stench that clings to this journal. That’s my interpretation for the title.
About the Author
Chase Henderson grew up on a mountain near Charleston, WV. Lacking human contact he was forced to create his own world and talk about himself in the third person for entertainment. He went to Marshall University to study computers and writing, but mostly computers. Burdened with this knowledge he moved back to Charleston where he lives with his wife and peddles his dark arts of system administration. Sometimes when the moon in full you can hear him howling at his laptop battery in local cafes.
Bibliography
One of Chase’s “Huntington by Night” pieces were supposedly picked up by the Et Cetera, Marshall University’s literary magazine. I have never actually seen a copy of this magazine, and Editors have been evasive when called. Peers in the industry (i.e. the unpublished) assure me that this is a standard practice.
